Subject: Update on Nanci Rowe


A quick update on Nanci's progress one day after the big event.



Arrived UW hosp. @ 6:30 Tues. morn. after driving to Seattle the previous
day with our rig.    Checked in and was sent to prep. to get ready for a big
day in the OR.  At 8:30 sharp she was wheeled into the OR for the first of
two surgeries;  the first of which was to tweak the muscles in her back to
make room for the screws that will hold the rods in place that will be
positioned next week in the second surgery. 

Surgery actually started around 10:30am, a 2 hr delay from the expected
start time.  Procedure lasted until 4:00pm.  A very long day on the OR
table.  Doctor was very pleased with the results and indicated the Nanci
should have a very good final result.

Nanci is currently resting somewhat comfortably at the UW Med Center.  They
have her up and moving around already and although she still has a
considerable amount of pain she encourages the staff to make her work hard
at getting better (what a trooper).

Phone calls should be held until Sunday to give her time to become a little
more mobile so she can roll over to reach the phone and the hoarseness in
her voice goes away.
